Virtual Driver Interactive Unveils New Compact "Green" LX Platform Model Designed with Latest Advanced Training Features to Keep Teens Safe

Leading the industry, VDI's LX Platform offers an exclusive super-wide monitor that provides an uninterrupted 180-degree field of view

NSBA Show, Booth #304—San Diego Convention Center, Calif.—April 4-6, 2009—Virtual Driver Interactive (VDI), provider of driver improvement and simulation systems for corporations and communities, announced its brand-new product offering, the LX Platform.

The new LX Platform is a lightweight, more portable solution that can fit through a 32-inch wide door frame and is available with a 29 or 38-inch monitor.  Unlike other simulators, the LX Platform's super-wide monitor design offers a 180-degree field of view with no monitor frames to hide critical road hazards.

Custom-designed from the latest materials, the LX Platform uses nearly half the energy used by previous simulators and as with its other models, comes with realistic controls such as a steering wheel and pedals.

Schools can also customize the LX Platform with school colors and logos allowing them to really take ownership of the important, life-saving training system.  No complex set-up is required—once it is plugged in, it's ready to go. The same novice driving and advanced defensive driving courses are offered with the new model, designed to put teens in dangerous situations without putting them in danger.

"We are very excited about this new product offering as we felt it was important to offer these advanced features, in a streamlined, environmentally friendly package," said Bob Davis, president of Virtual Driver Interactive.  "We really wanted this new model to far exceed everything we've done so far, while keeping our client needs and teen safety in mind."
