07.17.06– RoadWise America Partners with Virtual Driver Interactive to teach teen drivers safe and effective driving practices.
San Ramon, Calif. - Virtual Driver Interactive (VDI), provider of driver improvement simulation systems for corporations and communities, today announced that RoadWise America in Atlanta, Georgia will be utilizing the StreetReady curriculum on full cab simulators to teach teen drivers safe and effective driving practices.
RoadWise America is a training facility that offers unique technology-aided curriculum and products to train student drivers. The program includes 30 hours of interactive classroom, which combines hazard identification training, vehicle dynamics and simulation training in the Advanced Virtual Driver Interactive Simulator. RoadWise America embraces this new technology as a means of reinforcing both classroom and behind-the-wheel training. The company began from a growing concern over the high number of teen related traffic deaths and brings a solution to preparing teens for the demands of our roadways.
"We use the same Virtual Driver Interactive simulators law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel utilize," said Carey Odum, President and CEO of RoadWise America. "The simulated curriculum gives our teens a chance to experience real world situations without putting them at risk. Experience and knowledge are the keys for a successful RoadWise driver."
"We are excited that RoadWise America has chosen our StreetReady curriculum to help save teen lives," said Bob Davis, CEO and president of Virtual Driver Interactive. "More teens die in car crashes each year than a dozen airplane crashes would claim. It's time to get serious about student training and we are proud to be a part of that effort."
