Virtual Driver Interactive Announces Resale Partnership with the Municipal

Health and Safety Association of Ontario(MHSAO)

San Ramon, Calif. - Virtual Driver Interactive (VDI), provider of driver improvement simulation systems for corporations and communities, today announced that the Municipal Health & Safety Association of Ontario, Canada has purchased the Virtual Driver Interactive Training System, which consists of 200 Virtual Defensive Driver Course (Virtual DDC) licenses, to train its employees.

Virtual DDC provides the same course content as NSC’s Defensive Driving Course 6/8 while engaging employees with the ability to practice what is taught in the curriculum via interactive simulations, giving employees actual behind-the-wheel experience in a safe, controlled environment.

Virtual DDC requires employees to pass 17 different interactive simulations, including: basic defensive driving concepts; the proper use of occupant restrain systems; how physical and emotional conditions affect driving ability; dealing with uncontrollable driving conditions; the top six unsafe driving behaviors; and defensive driving techniques for dealing with driving hazards and risks.

MHSA is incorporated as a “Designated Safe Workplace Association” and services municipal employees throughout Ontario, offering consulting and training programs to promote health and safety in the workplace. MHSA’s selection of training programs include, general, specialty, certification, emergency services, hands-on, online and train-the-trainer programs. The organization provides services and programs that promote wellness and prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace.

In addition to purchasing the Virtual DDC for its employees, MHSA of Ontario has also become a VDI resale partner for all of Canada.

“I haven’t seen anything like the Virtual Driver Interactive Training System and I can’t wait to have all of our employees go through the training,” said Bill Blackborow, CEO and president of MHSA of Ontario. “It provides a level of safety training that helps ensure our employees are safe on the road and I am spreading the word to businesses across Canada.”

“We are thrilled that MHSA recognizes the need for the Virtual Driver Training System to be a standard for all companies,” said Bob Davis, CEO and president of Virtual Driver Interactive. “Employee safety is one of the top priorities for any organization and we are proud that Virtual Driver helps fulfill that important necessity.”
